About ET-MAce

Energy transition refers to the process of transitioning from fossil fuel-based to zero-carbon energy systems in order to address the need for energy-related CO2 emissions reductions. A pressing call for energy sector decarbonisation necessitates immediate action. The World Energy Transitions Outlook identifies a path forward for meeting the Paris Agreement's goals and reversing the pace of climate change through a transformation of the global energy landscape.

ET-MAce is founded in 2022 with 14 Council Members of different backgrounds consisting from the energy industry, governmental agencies, policymakers and other relevant agencies, to coordinate advocacy efforts and develop a roadmap and action plans towards a more inclusive energy future in Malaysia.

Message from Head Facilitator

The world around us is undergoing a transformative shift, and it is imperative that we recognize the critical role sustainable energy plays in shaping our future. The importance of sustainable energy cannot be overstated as it holds the key to reducing our carbon footprint and ensure a sustainable and resilient energy future through a series of innovative technology adoptions. It is imperative to understand the urgency of transitioning towards cleaner and more efficient energy sources, even more so for developing countries such as Malaysia.

However, the path to achieving such transformative goals requires a unified approach and coordinated efforts. That is precisely why the formation of the ET-MAce Alliance is pivotal. By bringing together key stakeholders, experts, and organizations from various sectors, we can harness our collective expertise, resources, and advocacy efforts to accelerate and drive the energy transition movement change in Malaysia
